Two recent research studies
show dramatic effects, greatly reducing and/or eliminating frequent panic attacks
and their significance in one-session. The results are obtained by addressing the problem in a new way, through a body
approach and the Rhythmic Integration Rapid-Change Intervention.
Study 1: Subjects went
from 9.6 panic attacks in the month previous to the intervention to an average of .6 one week
later; 0.2, one year later. (Robbins, R. Body Approaches to the
Treatment of Panic, in Schmidt and Warner, Panic: Origins, Insights and
Treatment. 2002)
Study 2: With a
different therapist, new subjects went from an average of 17.8 attacks to 0.8 the week after; 0.9 one year later. [Robbins, R. (2010) Validating the One-Session Rhythmic
Integration Panic Protocol (RIPP) Reduction of Panic Attack Frequency:
Replication with New Facilitator. International Society for
the Advancement of Respiratory Psycho-Physiology Meeting. (New York, NY).]
Workshop
Programs
Workshop Programs for Mental Health Professionals are individually designed for specific settings and lengths according to interest, professional experience and goals. They range from 90 minutes to two and a half days (Longer if translation is required). According to the time frame desired and the needs of the learners, presentations may be designed from the following topics:
Workshop Programs for Mental Health Professionals are individually designed for specific settings and lengths according to interest, professional experience and goals. They range from 90 minutes to two and a half days (Longer if translation is required). According to the time frame desired and the needs of the learners, presentations may be designed from the following topics:
- The history of panic attack diagnosis; and the research and treatments around it.
- Body Starters — without them there is no panic.
- The change protocol demonstrated to significantly reduce panic attack frequency after one session.
- The Rhythmic Integration and Bioenergetic base that underlies the process of change.
- Find the historical reason underlying a person's panic process.
- How to quickly extinguish the connection between panic thoughts and the arousal of disturbing feelings — Rhythmic Integration Repeated Sentences Technique.
- Immediately changing Body Starter tensions — Rhythmic Integration Instant Image technique.
- Applying the Panic Protocol to anxiety, irrational fears and phobias.
- Understandings that takes the "craziness" out of panic.
- Why the Panic Protocol works; and specifics of when it doesn't work.
- Ways to overcome resistance and sticking points.
- Ways to address medication usage.
- Building a client base.
- Personal work on panic and anxiety issue
When applicable participants receive helpful
guides, papers, experiences and protocol formats that cover:
- The initial interview.
- The session outline.
- The follow-up calls.
- Supervision.
The Tutorial Program: The Rhythmic
Integration Project on Panic:
In response to requests —
The method can be learned in the ease of home or
office through a program of live telephone tutorials.
Learn from anywhere in the world:
Simple - free phone calls brings:
- Paced learning
- Individual instruction
- Instant supervision
It's been very exciting to have started the
Panic Project's Telephone Tutorial Program. It's allowed us to respond to
requests from English-speaking mental health professionals around the country
and abroad. With inexpensive phone calls now possible, none with a phone is out
of reach.
Once started, we quickly realized the unique
potentials of teaching from one to four people at a time. What a particular student
needs can be attended to. Learning style and pace is accounted for. Working
this way allows in-depth presentation, immediate clarification is possible,
supervision can be given at the point when a person begins to see clients. The
learning is thorough. The process had been delightful for both teacher and
student.
There is another advantage to the Tutorial Program. First steps in applying the protocol can be carefully supervised: supports available, questions answered, misapplications corrected. This allows for the development of a solid base from which one feels comfortable to move forward.
